Southern California Division Junior Olympic Qualifiers are only open to members of the Socal Division.
Waiver fees will be considered on a case by case basis. These are for fencers who have financial hardships. They will be required to help setup or take down equipment for the tournament to be considered waiver-eligible. Please contact email@example.com for consideration.
Gladius Fencing Equipment will be onsite as the vendor. Please contact them directly for specific needs. Thank you.
Rating changes on AskFRED are NOT official. Only ratings listed on the USA Fencing website will be acknowledged.
Please Note: Only Rubber-soled shoes are allowed in the gymnasium. PLEASE respect the venue!
The venue is Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks. Parking is $8 for all day parking.
No large coolers or chairs allowed in the gym. Thank you for respecting the venue ahead of time!

The Cadet women’s and Junior men’s saber events have been moved to different check-in times to accommodate those who would like to fence in both the JO Quals and the RJCC in Torrance. Those coming from the RJCC for the Junior Men’s Saber event to the JO Quals can contact (818)263-6311 if you are running late and we will hold check-in. Thank you for your time and cooperation!
USFA now requires the use of 800N Saber Gloves. Please ensure that all Saber fencers are now equipped with these gloves at this tournament otherwise you will not be able to fence.
In order to be considered registered payment must be received.
$35 per event.

**REGISTRATION FEE AT THE DOOR IS $70.
ONLY CASH AND CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR.
IF PAYING CASH, PLEASE BRING EXACT CHANGE. NO change will be provided.
There will be no refunds after Dec. 14th.
Fencers who qualify for junior, if age eligible, are auto-qualified for cadet events. If you registered for both junior and cadet, then qualify at the junior event, thereby also qualifying for cadet, but decide on tournament day not to fence the cadet event, you will not receive a refund for the cadet entry fee.

Fence offs to break ties will only be done if needed. 100% promotion, however if necessary due to tournament circumstances, only 80% may be promoted. Genders will not be combined.
Ratings used will be those from the USA Fencing website as of Thursday, Dec. 14th. Any ratings earned after that or not reported to the national office will not be used. Seeding will be posted on the Friday prior to the event. Please check your seeding and email me, firstname.lastname@example.org, with any corrections or changes. We have a lot of events to run in one day, so it is best to have corrections made prior to Saturday, Dec. 16. Rating changes on AskFRED are not official.
USFA Membership – USFA rules will be enforced. All fencers must be current members of the USFA. Proof of USFA membership is either an unexpired membership card, an email from the USFA or listing on the USFA website. Membership forms will be available at the tournament or may be downloaded from the USFA website however USFA is charging $10 extra for paper entry forms. To speed up the process, it will be better to renew membership online at usfencing.org. If proof of membership is unavailable fencers will be required to submit a new membership application form with payment at the door. No exceptions.
Weapons are checked (weights and shims) during pools and direct eliminations for all events.

JUNIOR: 1998-2004 Or Cadet points
CADET: 2001-2004 Or Y14 points
Preregistration opens on Sept. 28.
Preregistration closes on Dec. 15th.
